Creating a safer world for our children through our advocacy

Advocacy work

Dignify’s research captures the views and experiences of thousands of children on the topics of social media, sexual harassment and the harms of porn and we therefore think it vital that these voices are heard as part of the national debate on these topics. Our advocacy work therefore focuses on ensuring that our research is brought to the attention of Government and those able to bring about to change to protect children from the harms of porn.

Pornography Review Coalition

Dignify is part of the Pornography Review Coalition which includes a coalition of organisations and individuals focused on addressing the harms of porn to children, adults and society. Dignify uses its own research specifically to advocate for children and campaigns to protect them from the harms of porn. Dignify fully supports the recommendations in the recent independent review by Baroness Bertin ‘Creating a safer world: the challenge of regulating online pornography’ and will continue to lobby for the implementation of these recommendations.

Our research is supporting much needed policy amendments

We are submitting our 2023-4 survey results as evidence to support the amendments to the Crime and Policing Bill. These include:

  • Apply offline pornography safeguards to online pornography
  • Apply Online Safety Act duties to all pornography websites

We strongly encourage all MPs to sign these amendments, in order to create a safer online world for our children.
