Dignify’s research captures the views and experiences of thousands of children on the topics of social media, sexual harassment and the harms of porn and we therefore think it vital that these voices are heard as part of the national debate on these topics. Our advocacy work therefore focuses on ensuring that our research is brought to the attention of Government and those able to bring about to change to protect children from the harms of porn.
Dignify is part of the Pornography Review Coalition which includes a coalition of organisations and individuals focused on addressing the harms of porn to children, adults and society. Dignify uses its own research specifically to advocate for children and campaigns to protect them from the harms of porn. Dignify fully supports the recommendations in the recent independent review by Baroness Bertin ‘Creating a safer world: the challenge of regulating online pornography’ and will continue to lobby for the implementation of these recommendations.
We regularly submit evidence to Parliamentary Select Committees, drawing on our research and lived experiences to influence policy decisions. Our aim is to ensure that child protection remains at the heart of national conversations and legislative developments.
We were honoured to be invited to speak at the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Youth Affairs, where we presented findings from our latest report. This opportunity allowed us to share the voices and experiences of young people directly with policymakers, reinforcing our commitment to advocacy rooted in lived experience.
