We asked:
A conversation was launched and has been gathering voices ever since. The sexualisation of children, the easy accessibility of sexually explicit material and the normalisation of pornography are harming our young people's physical, mental, emotional and relational health.
Dignify became a registered charity in 2020.
On 1st October 2024, Dignify became part of One YMCA to strengthen and amplify its work.
Registered Charity No. 1102301.
The wellbeing of our children is important — Dignify is saying let’s talk about porn. Together as a community, we can shape a new narrative so that children and young people can thrive within healthy relationships, free from the sexual objectification that porn can normalise.
We are working to fufill the mission embodied by The Dignify Charter through:
1. We champion healthy relationships.
2. We challenge the normalising of pornography, particularly its harmful effects on children and young people.
3. We call out sexual objectification and all its negative consequences.
The Dignify team have a deep and enduring compassion for those caught up in abuse. We believe that abuse can be prevented through education. We are passionate about educating young people that porn is not the norm, and helping them discover how to develop healthy relationships free from the harmful effects of porn.
